Well well well. It has been one year, two months, and a week since the last update to, quite possibly, the most brilliant piece of fanfiction ever to grace the potterverse, and I've read a fair few. This post was written, wondering what in the world has happened to our favorite fic series/author? Inuiring minds want to know.

Writers are encouraged to write fic of any length over the minimum 2000 words, with any permutation of Harry, Draco, and Severus. So, gen fic about any two or three of them, or erotic fic about any two or three of them.

You can use, or ignore, Beltane as a theme. It is intended to inspire the timetable, not necessarily the fiction. Although Beltane inspired fiction would be just delightful. :)

Hello folks. Nick here, 18, from Long Island, New York, an electronics freak/audio nerd, an internet radio station owner, and one who has just read Slytherin rising, all the way through what's here thus far. I can honestly say, having read a fair few fanfics in my time, this series, especially SR3, has to be the best fanfic series I have thus far read. And as my good friend jdx_random would say, the author of this series needs to get in a bubble and update more, right, now. LOL, no pressure or anything.

The big climactic finish of YOTC is done! It only remains to finish the scene, and then the chapter will be ready, and once that is up, the story will be NEARLY FINISHED, W00T! It'll just be tying up loose ends, and tbh, I don't want to spend too much time on that.

Upload won't happen tonight - too knackered. I need to go over it and code it properly. But it might be ready tomorrow though. In the mean time, here's a selection of the Best Bits.

So far there is nothing on there, but I do plan to import all the SR spin-off fic, then cross-post all future entries of mine.

It has indeed been a while. I offer no pathetic excuses, merely that after HBP and OotP jossed the series, people seemed to be losing interest and I was feeling a loss of creativity. To be blunt, I wasn't really sure what the point of carrying on was when everything was going to be jossed anyway.

No more. Deathly Hallows is now out, and I need never worry about being jossed again. So I'm wanting to write once more, and to prove it, here's a New Chapter!

Besides, after reading Deathly Hallows, it has become abundantly clear that Slytherin needs redeeming more than ever. SR is go for relaunch, people.

Immediate plans are to get Year of the Cat finished, then work through the series so far and bring it into a more canon-compliant state. In particular, I want to bring the Blacks in properly, so I am thinking of making Narcissa and Melissa twins and the younger sisters of Bellatrix and Andromeda. Which makes Marlie/Sirius interesting and a bit incestuous, but sod it, this is the Blacks we're talking about. Cousin-marrying is what they do.

Fic exchange! Sign-up deadline is February 1. Approaching fast!

Assignments will be emailed by February 15, and the fiction will be due May 1: Beltane. The exchange will be limited to 93 participants. That will mean 3 fics per day through May if the exchange fills up.
